It’s really important for our people to learn the importance and the value of preserving Ecuador’s natural resources. Ecuador’s most valuable asset, without any doubt, is its mega diversity but unfortunately most people don’t know this.
Ecuador’s Government has not taken into consideration as part of the national curriculum the importance of teaching young people the necessesity of recycling and preserving the environment. So this has been left to NGOs and other organizations to try and fill this big gap.
What would you like to achive? What are your goals?
Our main objective is to teach school kids about sustainable life styles and the importance of recycling.
We also hope to raise awareness not only in the kids we work with in our workshops but also in their families which will later spread among the community once the people start incorporating these practices into their everyday lives.
And finally we want to introduce the MDGs and how we can all be a part of making them become real.
